Soy compradora compulsiva de t-shirts blancos. Creo que es una de las prendas más perennes de mi armario y cuya compra-ritual repito con sagrada frecuencia. También es la prenda más nómada, porque maleta que hago, maleta que porta un white tee.

Más que pasión es una cuestión de versatilidad, un t-shirt blanco tiene un maridaje sencillo y a menudo resultón. Jeans, falda, pantalón, blazer…no importa la ‘raza’ ni el código, ni siquiera la estación del año: a ser franca, un t-shirt marida casi con más cosas que un gin-tonic (en los tiempos que corren es bastante complicado…). Y además – mi parte favorita- admite collares, pulseras y demás joyas a lo urraca como ninguna otra prenda.

Si tengo que cruzar el límite del blanco, lo hago casi exclusivamente con gris y negro, dos únicas variaciones cromáticas que repito con cierto ritmo en las secuencias shopperas. Rara vez soy infiel a esta tricotomía t-shirtera.

Mi t-shirt fever? Aquí un tee pick a lo back-to-basics:

American Vintage: la maison de los básicos por excelencia. Sus básicos se declinan – siempre en riguroso liso-en varios colores. Presume del claim be yourself que traducido a sus t-shirts dan un resultado de algodón ligero a modo de segunda piel / La maison des basics ever. AV tees are declined in many colours but with a simple claim: be yourself. This is a story of when cotton meets skin.

 

T by Alexander Wang: básicos hechos una delicia. Alexander Wang es fiel a cortes sencillos, líneas básicas, prendas que fluyen. Sus t-shirts son simplemente maravillosos; todos y cada uno de ellos. Perfecto y muy ready-to-wear / Simply delicious. Alexander Wang is deep inside the epicenter of fashion and simplicity. Basic lines, simple cuts, urban loyalism and his current black is back. What more can we add? Pure and perfect. Pret-a-porter.  

LPD New York: todo un hallazgo y unas camisetas que rinden homenaje a la moda a su manera. Una marca cuya procedencia se huele ya en su nombre y que ha evolucionado de Les Plus Dorés (su nombre anterior explica la pasión por la high fashion). Reversiona el concepto de las camisetas del basketball y declina los nombres más destacados de la moda del momento. Un gran Yes a esos prints y al tee negro de Slimane / LPD New York previously named Les Plus Dorés is a massive discovery. This American brand meets high fashion and streetstyle half away.  The brand says it strives to reimagine the conventions of fashion, making it accessible, while bringing couture conceptualism and themes to streetwear. Known for the dream team series that pays a tribute to a traditional basketball tee design and les plus dorés in fashion industry. Huge YES to its idea, collection and the newest Slimane tee.

 

 

 

Brian Lichtenberg: LA es el origen de esta marca que estampa sus t-shirts con una dosis de ironía y trastoca los nombres icónicos de la moda. Me hace gracia que, sin embargo, promete ser un poco pasajera / Coming from LA this brand plays with fashion icons in an ironic way. As it is LA rooted, it is a sort of celebs´brand. I feel like it is going to be a temporary love, dear Brian, although your Féline Meow is fun, fun, fun.

Eleven Paris: Life is a joke. Su seña de identidad es bien clara: el mostacho. Irreverente, un poco crápula pero muy divertidos estos diseños que cada temporada (con aciertos y desaciertos) renuevan la galería de celebs moustache-izados / This parisian brand says life is a joke and no doubt its t-shirts are kinda joke too. A bit irreverent and fun, it is certainly recognized for moustache-izing the most of celebs. Each season new moustaches come up to its shopping gallery. There are some fails sometimes, but in general truly adorable tees to purchase.

Hip tee: marca patria que merece una mención por cuidados que son sus diseños, por revivir the art of the message en las camisetas con un buen rollismo boho que alimenta y mucho el espíritu de verano / Spanish brand that deserves a big mention in this tee-pick due to its carefully made designs and thanks to its boheme revival of tee & the art of the message. Perfect for summertime, perfect for anytime.

I´m pretty addicted to white t-shirts. I reckon it is one of the most permanent element of my wardrobe and the tee shopping is a ritual I non-stop repeat. This is also one of my nomad garments: wherever I go, a white tee comes with me. We are such a good couple. My t-shirt story goes beyond passion; it is rather a question of versatility and capability to match. A t-shirt is like a gin-tonic, it blends with jeans, trousers, blazers, skirts: no matter what is the color or dress code, a white tee is a good candidate for any marriage. And additionally: it blends perfectly with all kind of jewels.

 

White tee is THE tee and I go gaga about it. Sometimes I get over this monogamy although when doing this I exclusively bet on grey and black, the unique chromatic combination I consequently repeat. Check out above my t-shirt fever list.
